IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Qualifications Scenario, Is There any Chance to qualify for Playoffs? After Losing five consecutive matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have won their second match of TATA IPL 2024. However, it is too late for RCB to make a comeback in the tournament as their chances to qualify for the IPL 2024 Playoffs are very low, more precisely almost nil.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 35 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The Player of the match was Rajat Patidar, who played an exceptional knock of 50 runs in just 20 balls. RCB played good cricket with both bat and ball in this match against SRH.
As of now, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are present at 10th position in the TATA IPL Points Table 2024 with four points and a poor net run rate of -0.721. Teams like KKR, SRH and LSG are at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spot, respectively with ten points each. So, First, the points difference is so high for RCB therefore it is almost impossible to get into the Top 4.
How Mathematically RCB can qualify for the IPL 2024 Playoffs?
However, If RCB were able to win all of the upcoming matches in the TATA IPL 2024, they would have 14 points, which is the minimum points needed to qualify for the IPL 2024 Playoffs. However, despite doing all this, other teams like KKR, SRH and LSG have to lose at least their upcoming five games out of six then only Royal Challengers Bengaluru can get into the playoffs.
Top 2 Changes Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) should do:
Dinesh Karthik Needs to bat at no.5
If we look at the past few games, Dinesh Karthik usually comes to bat at no.6 or 7 which ultimately becomes too late for him to play a big and explosive inning. RCB team management needs to send him at no.5 so that he can contribute a few more runs and RCB could have good runs on the scoreboard.
Reece Topley or Alzaari Joseph in place of Lockie Ferguson:
The Kiwi Pacer Lockie Ferguson hasn’t performed well so far in the TATA IPL 2024 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Reece Topley gave an excellent performance in the last edition but he failed to replicate the same in this season but RCB needs to give him a few more chances. Alzaari Joseph will also not be a bad choice but his economy rate is a very big concern.
