IPL 2024 Points Table: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 60 runs in the match no.58 of TATA IPL 2024 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. This was the RCB’s fourth consecutive victory in the season but it is too late to get the form back as other teams are in a better position to get the ticket for IPL 2024 Playoffs. As of now, Royal Challengers Bengaluru is present in 7th position in the latest IPL 2024 Points Table with 10 points in 12 matches played so far.
RCB batted first in this match but they had a quite decent start as RCB lost two wickets in the powerplay itself. However, After the batting powerplay, Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar started the fireworks and bombarded boundaries from both ends therefore leading the team in a strong position. Kohli and Patidar made a crucial and watch-winning partnership of 76 runs for the third wicket but Rajat Patidar got out by scoring 55 runs in 23 balls.
However, King Kohli continued his stormy batting till the last but unfortunately missed his century to hit more boundaries. Virat Kohli scored 92 runs in 47 balls at a strike rate of 195.67, it was a fabulous inning by the chase master against Punjab Kings in Dharamshala.
Later on, Cameron Green contributed with 46 runs and led RCB to a massive total of 241 runs on the scoreboard. From PBKS Bowling Department, Harshal Patel took three wickets and Vidhwath Kaverappa got two wickets in this match.
In the second inning, the Punjab Kings didn’t seem like they were looking to chase the target except Rilee Rossouw and Shawshank Singh, no other batter had with good strike rate in this match. Rilee Rossouw scored 61 runs in 27 balls whereas Shawshank Singh scored 37 runs in 19 balls.
In the end, the middle order of PBKS collapsed and they lost the match by 60 runs. From RCB’s Bowling unit, Mohd. Siraj took three wickets whereas Karn Sharma, Lockie Ferguson and Swapnil Singh took two wickets each.

After the PBKS vs RCB match, Punjab Kings officially got Eliminated from the IPL 2024 Playoffs whereas RCB is at the 7th spot in the IPL 2024 Points Table. In the Top 4, Kolkata Knight Riders are at first spot with 16 points whereas RR, SRH and CSK have occupied 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions with 16, 14 and 12 points, respectively in the IPL 2024 Points Table.
