IPL 2024 Player Stats: Most Runs, Most Sixes, Highest Wicket-Taker After SRH vs RR Match: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 36 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2. With this, Sunrisers Hyderabad moves to the IPL 2024 Final and now they will be playing against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 26 at the same venue. It was a dominating performance by SRH in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 against RR, especially with the ball that led the team into the finals.
Shahbaz Ahmed came out as dark horse for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Qualifiers 2 as he took three wickets and also scored 18 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad played decent cricket with the bat but their bowlers successfully defended the target of 176 against the strong batting unit of Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. It was an interesting game between SRH and RR in the Qualifier 2 but SRH outsmarted the Rajasthan Royals.

After losing the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batted first and they lost a couple of wickets in the batting powerplay. Trent Boult bowled a fantastic spell in the powerplay as he took three crucial wickets of SRH, including the wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markam. However, Australian star batter Travis Head played a decent innings of 34 runs in 28 balls. Rahul Tripathi played a stormy inning of 37 runs in just 15 balls.
Later on, Heinrich Klaasen played a responsible inning in the middle overs as he scored 50 runs and led SRH to a defendable target of 175 runs in 20 overs. From the Rajasthan Royals bowling department, Trent Boult and Avesh Khan took three wickets whereas Sandeep Sharma got two wickets in this match. RR bowlers quite dominated SRH batters since the start of the inning.
While Chasing the Target, Rajasthan Royals had quite a decent start but after the powerplay, they lost a bunch of wickets which led Sunrisers Hyderabad to dominate the game. Yashasvi Jaiswal batted quite well and scored 42 runs in 21 balls, he needed to stay on the crease for a few more overs but lost the wicket by playing the wrong shot.
Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t lead Rajasthan Royals to get back into the game as their bowlers took crucial wickets in the middle overs. However, Dhruv Jurel tried his best to chase the Target but was able to score only 51 runs in 29 balls. No other players except Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel failed to score more than 10 runs in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2.
From the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling unit, Shahbaz Ahmed took three wickets whereas Abhishek Sharma got two wickets. However, The Key Pacers like Pat Cummins and T. Natarajan took only one wicket in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2. SRH played superb cricket in the knockout match against Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
