The Indian Cricket Team blew Ireland away by 2-0 in the recently concluded 2-match T20I series. India VS Ireland, however, wasn’t a dead rubber. The Indian T20 team had a few questions to be answered. So, did the team find a solution? And what is the outcome of this two-match series? With the senior players not being a part of the team, the Indian team in game 2 just managed to get over the line. So, is the Indian bowling line-up weak? Here is an in-depth look at all these:

Deepak Hooda Makes a Strong statement in India VS Ireland Matches:

Deepak Hooda, the batter of the Lucknow Super Giants and the Rajasthan Cricket Association Captain has his eyes set on the flight to Australia. He wants to be a part of the team that goes to the T20 World Cup. He has made a very strong case for himself after these 2-matches. The Indian middle order has always been a point of concern.

The first team currently has names like Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant. But if KL Rahul can take the gloves, and Rishabh is dropped due to poor performances, Hooda can get a place in the team. His versatility and ability to make strokes set him apart. He is always on the attack. If team 11 doesn’t have a place for a middle-order batter, he can certainly be picked as a backup option.

Ireland has a Strong Batting Lineup:

One thing that must not go under the scanner is the fact that Ireland has a very strong batting lineup. They did not bowl up to mark, but their batters did their job to perfection. In the first game, they scored an above-average 108 in mere 12 overs. In the next game too, while chasing over 220, the team almost won the game.

The players of the Irish squad have nothing to lose and this approach helped them a lot. Players like Paul Stirling, Harry Tector, and captain Andrew Balbirine were mighty impressive. If the Irish team can come to the qualifying stage of the World Cup, they will make it difficult for teams like Oman and Namibia.

Indian Fast Bowling Except Bhuvi was Struggling in India VS Ireland:

Both India VS Ireland were high-scoring matches. The teams were easily scoring beyond 10 runs and over. In these circumstances, Yuzi Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were impressive. So the Indian team now has two fixed candidates in the form of Bhuvi and Bumrah. But the third pacer is still a big question. Will Harshal Patel be chosen? Considering the fact that the Australian wickets won’t help his slower balls!
