IND vs BAN: India has long been anticipated to have a hectic schedule in red-ball cricket. Team India under skipper Sharma is ready to feature in 10 upcoming Test matches, which will begin with the Test series against Bangladesh on the 19th of September. After the two-match series against Bangladesh, India will next host New Zealand for a three-match series as well.
India’s next most anticipated tour for the longest format of the game will come when they visit Australia for a 5-match series of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The previous three editions of the game were won by the Indian team. This will also be India’s final series before the WTC final.
The BCCI announced earlier that every Indian domestic and international player must participate in the Duleep Trophy to secure their position in the Indian test team for the upcoming series against Bangladesh and others to follow. Ideally, many great international players also made their return to the Duleep Trophy.
Indian selectors have picked many of the players who are quite often seen in the format for India. They picked the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma and opening partner in young and terrific Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Despite not being one of the best Duleep Trophy seasons, Shubman Gill has again been picked for India and might be placed as the No. 3 batter. Virat Kohli remains the batter at No. 4.
India’s middle order has much variety this time around, as players like KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have made a return to the team and might feature as middle-order batters. Also, players like Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel have been picked for the same.
India has relied on their test all-rounders, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, the world no. 1 ranked Test all-rounder, and lastly, Ravichandran Ashwin, who will be back on field with the red-ball.
The bowlers who follow will be led by Jasprit Bumrah, as he will be back in action for the first time since the T20 World Cup final. Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, and Yash Dayal are the other pace options. Akash Deep’s brilliant 9-wickets make him a must-pick, while Dayal gets his maiden call-up. Kuldeep will be the only expert spinner in the squad.
