ICC WTC Points Table 2024: Sri Lanka won the second test match against Bangladesh by a decent 192 runs at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. With this, Sri Lanka climbs to the 4th spot in the latest ICC WTC Points Table 2024 however they sweep the two-matches test series against Bangladesh by 2-0. The Sri Lankan Team played dominating cricket throughout the series as they won the first test match by a massive 328 runs and now, they are surpassing Pakistan in the ICC WTC Points Table 2024. A Collective performance by both batters and bowlers of the Sri Lankan Team led them to have a great victory against Bangladesh.
Sri Lanka batted first and they scored a mammoth 532 runs on the scoreboard, every batter played a good knock but Kusal Mendis and Kemindu Mendis scored 93 and 92 runs, respectively in this inning. However, Bangladesh was able to score only 198 runs in their first innings whereas Sri Lanka had a lead of 351 runs.

From the SL side, Asitha Fernando and Lahiru Kumara took four wickets each whereas Hasan Mahmud and Skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan took four and three wickets, respectively in this match. If Bangladesh were able to perform the same cricket in the first inning as they did in the second then the results might be different in this match.

India has dominated every team in test cricket and it is expected that this year, India can lift the ICC WTC 2025 Final title.
However, the Australian Team is in second position with a PCT of 62.50% and 90 points in the ICC WTC Points Table 2024. The Australian team has played 12 matches so far in the ICC WTC 2023-25 Cycle which is the maximum by team. New Zealand is at third spot with a PCT of 50.00% and they have played six matches so far.
Pakistan and West Indies are present in 5th and 6th position in the latest ICC WTC Points Table 2024 with a PCT of 36.66% and 33.33, respectively. A few months back, Pakistan was at the top position in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-2025 Points Table but due to poor cricket in recent times they slipped to the 5th position.
