ICC Team Rankings Ahead of England vs Pakistan 1st T20I 2024 | ICC Men’s T20I Team Standings: England and Pakistan are going to play the first T20I match at Headingley Cricket Ground in Carnegie and both the teams will be looking to play their best cricket as ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to start in couple of weeks. The Defending champions England present in third position in the ICC Team Rankings whereas Pakistan has occupied the seventh spot in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Team Standings.
Pakistan have played exceptional cricket in their last three-match T20I series against Ireland as they won the series by 2-1. Babar Azam will be leading the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the T20I series against England but it is going to be quite tough to beat England in their conditions.
England will be playing under the leadership of Jos Buttler and most of their key players return home for national duty as they were playing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. As of now, England is in the 3rd spot and they can surpass Australia in the ICC Team Rankings if they are able to win the series by 3-0.
The Indian Team is in first position in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Team Standings with a rating of 264, they have played 47 matches so far and have 12,410 points. However, the Indian Team haven’t played any bilateral series in the last two months but they will play only one warm-up match before the T20 World Cup 2024.
Australia has occupied second position in the ICC Team Rankings with a rating of 257 and they are one of the top contenders to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Australia have played 33 matches and they have 8,471 points in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings.

South Africa has played phenomenal cricket in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 and it is expected that they will try to replicate the same performance as their key players are playing good cricket in the TATA IPL 2024.
New Zealand and West Indies are present at fifth and sixth position with a rating of 250 and 249, respectively in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings. West Indies is going to host the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 with USA.
