The Pakistan cricket team will be rooting for the ICC T20 World Cup to start. They have a very settled lineup and they have a lot of payback for Australia, the hosts. Predictions for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022:
The Pakistan team is going to qualify for the semifinals this time around as well. The cloud of uncertainty at times does loom over the Pakistan team but if they play to their potential, they do deserve a place in the semis. They might not make it to the final as the teams in the other groups are shaping up a little better but Ramiz Raja would be disappointed with anything less than a top 4 finish. Shadab Khan is a key player. He is expected to bat at number 8 but has the potential to bat at number 6 which makes this team deadly. Multi-ability players have added immense value to this team.
Top Performers for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022:
Shadab Khan:
The tournament will not be about spinners like it was in the UAE but the spinners will have a significant part. Especially the leg spinners. With that being said, Shadab is one hell of a quality bowler. He is tough to pick because he has a fast round-arm action. He has a sharp google. Khan bowls a very good line. He doesn’t beat the batters in the air but beats them by the drift he gets. He isn’t a sharp turner but his googlies are something to ponder upon as a batter.
Naseem Shah:
Naseem Shah is a damn good player at 19! Shah first burst on the international scene by debuting at the age of 16. He wasn’t a finished product then but now has come back with flying colors. The injury of Shaheen came in as a boon for Pakistan so they had to bring Naseem back. Naseem has a good chance this time around as the World Cup will be played in Australia and the pitches will be pacer friendly. He will just have to bowl good lines.
