ICC ODI Player Rankings: Shubman Gill Moves to 5th Position in ODI Batting Rankings, Becomes Top-Ranked Indian Batsman: ICC released the updated Team and Players ranking of ODI Format. Shubman Gill moves to the 5th position in the updated ICC ODI batting rankings.
After playing outstandingly against West Indies in ODI, ICC released the ICC players ranking of Shubman Gill from 7th spot to 5th spot. Team India beat West Indies in the ODI series by 2-1. Gill scored 126 runs in 3 matches against the West Indies with an average of 42.0.
Gill’s outstanding performance helped him by two positions to secure the Fifth spot in the ODI Players ranking. Shubman Gill currently holds the 5th position with a rating of 886.
Pakistan’s Skipper Babar Azam holds the top spot of Men’s ODI players ranking with a rating of 886, While Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq hold 3rd and 4th spots with a rating of 755 and 745. Gill came closer in ICC ranking to Fakhar and Imam.
Babar Azam is far away from Shubman Gill in the ICC ranking, with a difference of 131 points. Babar Azam will play an ODI series against Afghanistan in Sri Lanka from 22 August at Hambantota Stadium, While Shubman Gill will play an ODI Series against Australia in September 2023.
Shubman Gill has less chance to replace Babar Azam from the top spot in ODI Before World Cup 2023. Virat Kohli is in the 9th spot with a rating of 705, While Rohit Sharma is in the 11th spot with a rating of 693. Currently, Virat Kohli is at his career’s lowest ranking in one decade.
Kuldeep bowled fantastically in the ODI series against West Indies, which helped him improve his ranking. Now Kuldeep is in the 10th spot in the ICC ODI bowling ranking with a rating of 622. Kuldeep picked up seven wickets in 3 matches.
