ICC CWC Qualifiers 2023 Super Six Points Table [July 2] Updated After UAE vs. NEP ODI Match: On July 2, Sri Lanka defeated host nation Zimbabwe in the Super Six Round by nine wickets, and the Player of the Match was Mahesh Theekshana.
In Match No.25, Zimbabwe came to bat first, and they lost some early wickets and hence got in trouble, but Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza scored 56 and 31 runs, respectively. They got all out by scoring 165 runs on the scoreboard in 32.2 overs.
Sri Lanka has continued their dominating performance in the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers 2023, and they chased the target of 166 runs in 33,1 overs; Pathum Nissanka played a terrific inning and scored 101 runs in 102 balls, whereas Maheesh Theekshana got four wickets, and Dilshan Madushanka took three wickets.
Sri Lanka qualified for the World Cup 2023 after winning the Match against Zimbabwe and became the first team from ICC Men’s ODI World Cup Qualifiers 2023 to qualify for the World Cup in India.
In the Match No.26, Nepal defeated United Arab Emirates (UAE) by three wickets after chasing the low target of 182 runs in 43.2 overs. The Player of the Match was Dipendra Singh Airee.
UAE came to bat first, scoring 181 runs on the scoreboard, and got all out in 46.5 overs; Skipper Vriitya Arvind scored 44 runs in 75 balls, whereas Rohan Mustafa scored 35 runs in 56 balls. From Nepal, Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets each.
Somehow, Nepal chased Target after the Batting collapsed, especially the middle order, but Dipendra Singh Airee played an important knock of 79 runs and led his team to victory. From UAE, Mohd. Jawad Ullah took three wickets.
