The GT VS DC game looked like it will go down the wire. But it was David Miller who made it look like a one-sided affair. The game saw top performances from the likes of David Miller, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami. All these proven match-winners sealed the game for the Gujarat Titans as the Titans sealed the win by 6 wickets and 10 balls to spare. Sarfaraz Khan and David Warner batted decently well but that couldn’t solve the problems of the Delhi Capitals. They have now lost both their games in TATA IPL 2023:

GT VS DC, 1st Innings:
The Gujarat Titans won the toss and chose to bowl. The Capitals were asked to bat and that did not work in their favor. Prithvi Shaw was dismissed early on trying to play the rash pull shot. Mohammed Shami capitalized on Shaw’s weakness and sent him back to the pavilion for 7 runs only. David Warner tried to hang in but wickets kept tumbling from the other end. Post the powerplay, the score was 52-2. Marsh was dismissed by Shami as well.
Post the powerplay, Alzarri Joseph’s double strikes of Warner and Rossouw, broke the backbone of the Capitals’ batting. Now it was up to Sarfaraz Khan. He did do a decent job. He hung in there when others struggled to. But his strike rate of 88 did no favor to the Capitals. Axar Patel gave the finishing touches and the Capitals ended with 163/8. Rashid Khan did the damage in the end with the ball.
GT VS DC 2nd Innings:
The Gujarat Titans did not have an ideal start as well. They struggled big time when Saha and Gill were asked to walk back to the pavilion in the 4th over itself. Both the batters were attacking the opposition and looked well set for a good score. But Anrich Nortje’s pace was too hot to handle for the Indian openers. Anrich Nortje shattered the speed gun as he was constantly bowling 150 kmph.
Hardik Pandya was looking good with the bat but before he could do colossal damage, Khaleel bowled an unplayable delivery to get rid of him. That very ball showed the immense potential that Khaleel has. While all of this was going on, Sai Sudarshan was on song in the GT VS DC game.
He was batting slowly but held one end tight. In came David Miller and both the batters looked sorted. They easily took the Gujarat Titans home. At the far end of the game, Sai Sudarshan hit Anrich Nortje for two sixes as well. Now, this is exactly why the IPL was bought up. Seeing a young domestic batter slamming world-class bowlers is always a treat to watch for the cricket community.
