Pat Cummins was named as captain of the test team whereas Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav were named as the captain of the ODI and Test Team. However, there are only two Indian Players in the test team as Indians didn’t play as many bilateral series.
Australia Won the ICC World Test Championship 2021-2023 under the leadership of Pat Cummins, which is why he is leading the ICC Test Team of the Year. There are five Australian Players in the test team and they performed superbly in this cycle however, Indian players also played good cricket but they didn’t play as many games as Australian players due to the ODI World Cup.
Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are the only Indian players, who secured their spot in the ICC Test Team of the Year 2023. However, there is no place for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the test team. Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc are the five Australian Players in the ICC Test Team of the Year 2023.
India played phenomenal cricket in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 therefore, Indian Players dominated the ICC ODI Team of the Year 2023. There are six Indian Players in the ODI Team including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav. Rohit Sharma who led the Indian Team well in the ODI World Cup is named Captain of the ICC ODI Team of the Year 2023.
In the ICC T20I Team of the Year 2023, Suryakumar Yadav was named as Captain as he performed fantastically with bat and also led Indian Team well. There are no Australian Players in the ODI Team whereas four Indian Players occupied the position in the ICC ODI Team of the Year 2023.
