Breaking!! No Ishan Kisan, Shreyas Iyer as BCCI Announces Central Contract for 2023-24 Seasons | BCCI Central Contract 2024: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a central contract list for the 2023-24 season, which will run between October 01, 2023, to September 30, 2024. However, there are some big developments in the annual player contracts as two Indian star players Ishan Kisan and Shreyas Iyer lose the central contract for the 2023-24 season.
Ishan Kisan and Shreyas Iyer didn’t participate in the Ranji Trophy 2024 after not being in the National Team. After the India tour of South Africa 2023-24, Ishan Kisan took a long break due to personal reasons whereas Shreyas Iyer didn’t play the Final match for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy despite being available for the tournament.
After such actions by the Indian national team players, BCCI secretary Jay Shah warned the players regarding central contracts, who are not playing domestic cricket despite being available for the tournament. Now, the BCCI has strictly given a message to all the players to take disciplinary action against Ishan Kisan and Shreyas Iyer.
The Grade A+ Players:
Skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are the players who got a place in the highest category in the BCCI’s central contract list for the 2023-24 season. However, the BCCI didn’t mention the money these players get from them but generally, Grade A+ players get 7 crore per year.
Some New Additions in the Other Grade:
The Players like Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohd. Shami, Mohd, Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya secured their position in the Grade A Central Contract. Generally, BCCI gives Rs 5 crore to the Grade A player for one year.
Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal made their place in the Grade B along with Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. After Having a severe injury in a car accident, Rishabh didn’t play cricket for the last one year and now, he has a place in the Grade B players list and BCCI gives around Rs 3 crore to the Grade B Central Contract.
