BGT: Australia vs India 2nd Test Labuschagne and Head’s half-centuries put Australia in a strong position: The second day of the second Test match being played between Australia and India was exciting. Jasprit Bumrah gave the Indian team a great start, while Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head’s brilliant half-centuries kept Australia in control.

Jasprit Bumrah’s amazing performance at the start of the second day

The day started brilliantly for India. Jasprit Bumrah introduced his accurate bowling and sent Nathan McSweeney to the pavilion for 39 runs. Bumrah did not stop here, he sent a wave of happiness in the Indian camp by dismissing Steven Smith for just 2 runs. This series has been very disappointing for Smith so far.

Labuschagne and Head’s struggling performance

Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head took charge after Steven Smith was dismissed early. Labuschagne showed confidence by hitting two consecutive fours off Harshit Rana. At the same time, Travis Head registered his presence by hitting a straight six off Ravichandran Ashwin.

Labuschagne batted with patience and completed his 21st Test half-century. At the same time, Travis Head also played aggressively and scored his 18th Test half-century. Australia made the biggest over of their innings by hitting four fours in an over of Harshit Rana.

Nitish Reddy’s wonder in bowling

However, young Indian team player Nitish Reddy showed his flair in bowling. Labuschagne, playing on 64, played a shot, which was turned into a brilliant catch by Yashasvi Jaiswal in the gully. This wicket brought relief to the Indian team, but Travis Head continued his brilliant batting.

Firstday performance Starc’s deadly bowling

India’s innings were bundled out for 180 runs on the first day. Mitchell Starc took six wickets (6-48) with his sharp bowling, while captain Pat Cummins (2-41) and Scott Boland (2-54) supported him well.

In the Indian innings, KL Rahul and Shubman Gill played some good shots, but in the lower order, Nitish Reddy played a brilliant innings of 42 runs and took charge of the team.

Australia’s position is strong against India in Test match.

Australia also performed well in batting on the first day. Despite Usman Khawaja’s early dismissal, Nathan McSweeney (38*) and Marnus Labuschagne (20*) shared a 62-run partnership for the second wicket. On the second day, Labuschagne and Head’s batting further strengthened this partnership.

Australia has now taken the lead over India and is in control of the match. On the third day, Indian bowlers will have to take wickets quickly, otherwise the match may tilt further towards Australia.
