BCCI: BCCI recently provided fitness updates on its five key players.: The BCCI has released a medical and fitness report on five crucial Indian players who have been sidelined.
The BCCI has announced that five stars who have been undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru have received excellent news.
While fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna are nearing the end of their rehabilitation, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have begun batting practice.
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant has made considerable progress since his mishap in late December of last year and has been batting and keeping in the nets.
Both Bumrah and Iyer had back operations, preventing them from participating in the IPL and the ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia. The pace spearhead has been sidelined by a string of ailments and hasn’t played since the home T20Is against Australia in September.

Meanwhile, Iyer missed part of the last Test of the home series against Australia in March due to a bulging disc in his lower back. Iyer then underwent surgery in London in May and has been undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA. Last Monday, he shared a video of himself hitting in the nets.
KL Rahul, like Shreyas Iyer, has resumed batting practice in the nets. The BCCI Medical Team will raise the intensity of Rahul and Iyer’s workouts in the following days. Bumrah and Prasidh will play some full-strength practice games before the BCCI Medical Team makes a final decision.
