Asia Cup 2023, India vs Pakistan match in Asia Cup will be Played in Sri Lanka: As per the report of PTI, Sri Lanka has been chosen to host the Asia Cup match of India vs Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) agreed to play the India vs Pakistan match at a neutral venue.
The BCCI accepted the Hybrid model of Pakistan for conducting non-India matches in Pakistan, whereas the rest will be played in Sri Lanka. Pakistan will host four home matches of the Asia Cup 2023 in Lahore whereas remaining matches will be played in Sri Lanka. Good news for Pakistan and Sri Lanka as they will Jointly host the Asia Cup 2023.
A few months ago, the BCCI announced that the Indian Team would not attend the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan due to security issues. After the BCCI refused to play the Asia Cup, PCB tried to manage all the members of the ACC to play the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan.
PCB introduced a hybrid model to host the Asia Cup 2023 with UAE jointly, but ACC member teams are not ready to play cricket in September due to extremely hot weather conditions that’s why it was shifted to Sri Lanka.
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will announce the final Schedule and venue of Asia Cup on Tuesday. After approval of Pakistan’s Hybrid model proposal, they will now come to India to play in the World Cup 2023.

PCB”s Hybrid Model for Asia Cup 2023:
- Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) proposed a Hybrid model to host the Asia Cup Jointly with Sri Lanka. The Asia Cup 2023 is expected to be played in two halves.
- The First Half of Four Matches will be Played in Pakistan out of 13 matches, including the Finals.
- There will be two groups, Group A will have India, Nepal and Pakistan, whereas Group B will have Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
- India Matches will play in Sri Lanka, and India vs Pakistan is expected to be played at a Neutral venue in Sri Lanka.
- If India qualifies for the Asia Cup 2023 Final, it will be held at Neutral Venue in Sri Lanka, and If India does not qualify for the Finals, it will be played in Pakistan.
Asia Cup 2023 Matches in Pakistan:
- Pakistan vs Nepal, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
- Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
- Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
- Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
