Asia Cup 2023: India and Pakistan in the Same Group of Asia Cup, ACC accepted the PCB’s Hybrid Model: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has accepted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Hybrid Model after having a lot of discussions over the host Country.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has told ACC that they will not play Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan because the Indian Government will not allow Team India to play cricket in Pakistan due to Security Reasons.
One of the greatest Cricket Rival, India and Pakistan, are included in the Same Group for Asia Cup, and Nepal is also in the Same Group. Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh are in the second group.
India and Pakistan will likely play three matches in Asia if they reach the final. First Match, both will play in the group stage, then the second match in Super Four, and the Third will be in the Final.
The Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on 31st August and end on 17th September. This Time Asia Cup will be held in 50 over format because ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will be just after the Asia Cup.
There will be 13 matches in Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan will host Four Matches, whereas Sri Lanka will host nine matches. The Indian Team will play all their matches in Sri Lanka.
The Asia Cup 2023 Final will be played on 17th September 2023, if India goes to the Final, then it will be played in Sri Lanka, whereas If India fails to get into the Finals, then the Final will be held in Pakistan.
Asia Cup 2023 Format:
Asia Cup 2023 will have two Groups, and Each Group will include three teams. Teams will play against each other in their respective team, which means Every Team will play two matches in Group Stage.
The top two teams of Both the Group will move to the Super Four, and In this, all the teams will play one match against Each other Then the Top Two Teams of the Super Four will go to the Finals.
