IND vs AUS: India will be entering the Brisbane test with the hope of continuing their chances in the WTC, as India is currently in a scenario where they can’t afford to lose test matches any further.

Several doubts are posed over whether Rohit Sharma should be back at the top of the Indian batting order; however, no indications of a return have been made by the team management or the Indian skipper.

India will also look to make some changes in their all-rounder deck, as the in-form Nitish Kumar Reddy might not be included in the playing 11, as many stars have indicated that experienced Indian all-rounders should be roped in.

Also, there has been speculation over the third-choice pacer for the Indian team, alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj.

India Playing 11 for the Gabba Test:

Openers: Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal

Legendary Indian batter Rohit Sharma might now finally be seen at the top of the order alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, the young opener for India.

Middle-Order Batters: Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant

The middle order remains unchanged, except for KL Rahul, who returns to the middle order at no. 6 after Rohit Sharma, if he is promoted back to the role of an opener.

All-Rounders: Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja

Indian all-rounder NK Reddy, despite all odds, should retain his place in the Indian playing XI, as Ravindra Jadeja might be the third spin-bowling all-rounder to be played in the Indian lineup in the third test of the series.

Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna

The Indian side will have a new pace trio while retaining the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj for the Gabba test as well, while Prasidh Krishna, the lanky fast bowler, might be seen drafted into the 11, replacing Harshit Rana, who failed to impress in the second test.
