The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) began their journey to the Indian Premier League back in 2022 alongside the Gujarat Titans. The Lucknow Super Giants performed seriously well in the first two seasons, as they reached the playoffs on either of these occasions while missing it in their next season in 2024.

LSG picked Nicholas Pooran for a whopping INR 21 crore during the retention period, while they also retained players like Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, and the two uncapped talents in Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan.

While LSG entered the mega-auction with a satisfying purse of INR 69 crore, they picked the costliest player of the IPL mega-auction 2024, Rishabh Pant, for a record-smashing INR 27 crore.
