Unlike the USMNT, the USWNT has been one of the greatest sides of Women’s football. With a 4-1 group stage victory over Germany, considered one of the biggest threats in the Summer Olympics, the USWNT have maintained their years-long legacy as they have been among the first times alongside Spain to enter the Quarter-finals.

With a golden legacy in the Olympics, the United States Women’s National Team made it out of the group stage all seven times they made it to the main event and earned a medal on 6 of those occasions.

The United States forward line is considered one of the most famous frontline players in the world, though there was a major doubt on the team’s credibility on the field. Now, however, no doubt remains after their stunning display in front of the German side, as the USWNT forwards looked unstoppable – proving that this attack is something special.

The two legends of USWNT defence Dunn and Girma stood firm on their attacking halves, as they contained one of the strongest attacking teams in the competition, with Germany being able to level up only with a single lead throughout the game.

USWNT lacked some composure in the mid-field, as some of the players, played an important part in some bright moments in the game, but otherwise remained silent. On the contrary, the forward attack line was excellent which portrayed their excellence on the field.

Sophia Smith, Mallory Swanson and Trinity Rodman all were excellent with the best being Rodman who was impossible to deal with down his wing, though he did not find the back of the nets. Sophia Smith, on the other hand, put on a stunning display as he capitalised over a bit of lucky opportunity.

Swanson scored thrice in two games, as he scored off a rebound. Equally rated has been Lynn Williams who scored the fourth USWNT goal after being called out from the bench.
