Best bowling average: India’s Jasprit Bumrah recorded the best bowling average in a single T20 World Cup edition with 8.3, surpassing Anrich Nortje’s 8.5 in 2022.
Bumrah also maintained an economy rate of 4.17 and was named the player of the tournament.
Best bowling strike-rate: England’s Chris Jordan set a new record with a strike rate of 8.3, breaking Jacques Kallis’ previous record of 9.4 in 2012.
Jordan’s stellar performance included an unprecedented quadruple-wicket maiden over against the USA.
Most Maiden Overs: New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson created history by bowling four maiden overs in a single match, finishing with figures of 3/0 (4) against Papua New Guinea.

Most Boundaries: The 2024 edition saw the most boundaries in a single T20 World Cup, with 1,478 boundaries being hit, surpassing the previous record of 1,349 in 2021.
Most Sixes: A record 515 sixes were hit during the tournament, surpassing the 405 sixes recorded in 2021.
Most Sixes by a Player: West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran set a new record for most sixes in a T20 World Cup, hitting 17 sixes and breaking his compatriot Chris Gayle’s record of 16.
