ICC WTC 2023: The top eight teams in the ongoing cricket competition in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League will get direct entry into the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

The rest of the teams along with five associate teams will play in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier to qualify. Two teams from the qualifying tournament will then advance to the World Cup. India automatically qualifies as the host of the tournament.

Currently, Sri Lanka is visiting New Zealand for two tests, three one-day international games, and three Twenty20 international matches. Up to this point, the hosts have consistently beaten the visitors hard.

Rain forced the cancellation of the second ODI in Christchurch on March 28, but the hosts still lead 1-0. Sri Lanka’s chances of directly qualifying for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to be held in India this year, have been badly hurt by the setback caused by the rain spoiler.
In the first ODI, New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by 198 runs to take the series lead. In their opening innings of play, New Zealand scored 274 runs overall because to the excellent play of Finn Allen and Daryl Mitchell.

In response, Sri Lanka only managed to score 76 runs in 19.5 overs, and New Zealand won the ODI by a score of 198 runs.
Sri Lanka probably went into the visit thinking that they would win the ODI series against New Zealand and automatically qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

Instead, the first ODI saw the Blackcaps defeat Sri Lanka, and the second ODI saw rain do the job and frustrate the visitors. The third and final ODI, which will take place on March 31 in Hamilton, will be the Lions’ last chance.
