The WWE has earned a brand name in wrestling. Year after year, we see great in-ring performers come in and win the hearts of the fans. The WWE is such a big brand that at times even the layman refers to “wrestling” as the WWF or WWE. The tag team section in the WWE is at its all-time low. There were times where the tag team section was one of the most eventful and fun sections. Over the years there have been several amazing tag teams. Here is a look at the top 10 tag teams in WWE history: –

10) The New Day: –

The New Day is one of the most hilarious stables in WWE history. It includes Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston. Apart from the hilarious aspect that they bring, the New Day is equally dominant in the ring. They hold the record for the longest-reigning tag teams with the RAW Tag Team Titles. They have a unique and unorthodox wrestling style. Kofi Kingston adds his high-flying skills making them more entertaining.

9) The New Age Outlaws: –

The New Age Outlaws are one of the most celebrated tag teams in WWE. The team consisted of Road Dogg and Billy Gun. They earned popularity after associating themselves with the DX stable in the 1997 Attitude Era. Billy Gun and Road Dogg had ensured amazing WWE Merchandise sales for the company. They were successful in finding a place in the heart of the fans. They were charismatic and passionate in-ring performers.

8) Rated-RKO: –

Edge and Randy Orton accompanied by Edge’s on-screen girlfriend Lita formed a team named Rated-RKO. Edge and Randy Orton are two of the most highly rated individual in-ring performers. They are elite and ethical with their work. The Rated-RKO team became tag team champions at the end of 2006 in a feud with DX. Edge and his spear, Randy Orton, and his RKO made sure that every fan has an adrenaline rush! One can never forget this amazing duo.

7) The USOS: –

The USOS, a team of twin brothers, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso is a highly celebrated tag team in the WWE. They have a “Samoan Wrestling Legacy” associated with them. They are the sons of WWE performer “Rikishi”. The Usos have blood relations with top performers like “The Rock” and Roman Reigns. The two debuted back in 2007 and since then have been a force to reckon with. They have had amazing feuds over the years.

6) Hart Foundation: –

The Hart Foundation consisted of one of the most celebrated WWE wrestlers. Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart were shown as brothers-in-law. The “Hart Foundation” name has used been several times by many other performers but this is the team that made the name popular. They won the tag team titles 2 times in their careers as a team. Later, Bret Hart was promoted as a single in-ring performer and Neidhart wasn’t the best of them. But till-date the WWE recalls this tag team and celebrates them as the pioneers of the concept of “Tag Team Wrestling” in WWF/WWE.

5) British Bulldogs: –

British Bulldogs consisted of “Davey Boy Smith” and “The Dynamite Kid”. They wrestled as a team all over the world. They began their wrestling journey at NWA and later switched to the WWE/WWF. British Bulldogs were great performers. They made sure their opponent was never severely injured. British Bulldogs earned a name for being safe and passionate about wrestling. They performed in the WWE from 1984 to 1988. The 4-year period saw them get into many amazing matches and exquisite feuds.

4) D-Generation-X: –

The D-Generation X needs to be mentioned as one of the top 5 tag teams in WWE history. They might not have had success as a tag team but they had a huge impact on the tag team circuit. When the tag team circuit looked dry and boring in 2004 and 2005, the WWE introduced the reunion of DX. The DX consisted of “HBK”, Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels, and “The Game, Triple H. They first debuted as a team in the Attitude Era after the Kliq stable was destroyed. The DX has a legacy as it has two of WWE’s greatest performers.

3) The Dudley Boyz: –

The Dudley Boyz were amazingly charismatic wrestlers. The duo has earned a name for itself in the wrestling circuit. They have performed in almost every professional arena. They began their journey from Paul Heyman’s ECW. D-Von Dudley was also a part of the famously infamous Mass Transit incident. The stable was portrayed as half-brothers. D-Von and Bubba Ray Dudley have earned the tag titles and are an integral part of the golden era of WWE Tag Teams.

2) Edge and Christian: –

Edge and Christian debuted in the WWE as brothers. They are real-life childhood friends and their chemistry can be observed in the ring. Edge and Christian went on to be two of the most iconic individual performers as well. The Ladder Match at WrestleMania between Edge and Christian, The Dudley Boyz, and The Hardy Boys is one for the ages. The street will never forget the contribution of these two legends to the tag team circuit.

1) The Hardy Boyz: –

Hardy Boyz is unquestionably the best tag team in WWE history. They consist of Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. They are real-life brothers and their in-ring chemistry defines this. The Hardy Boyz are courageous performers. They have been a part of the most iconic and extreme matches in the WWE. Their return to the WWE at WrestleMania 2017 is a moment that every WWE fan cherishes. Their comeback added spice to the dry and boring Tag Team Circuit.
