John Cena, the 16-time WWE Champion has returned to the ring for the first time after 2020. After his loss at WrestleMania 2020 at the hands of Bray Wyatt, this is the first in-ring appearance made by John. WWE, the organization at times relies on the face value of its athletes and with John coming back, the TRP is going to boom big time. All the WWE fans have gone “GAGA” over the fact that the greatest of all time has returned.
Return at “Money in the bank!”: –
John Cena made his comeback on 19th July at the “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view. His entrance and confrontation with Reigns were the things that enclosed the event! Reigns were in the center of the ring when Cena’s song began to play and Dickies Arena at Fort Worth, Texas, erupted when the 16-time world champion made his first WWE appearance in over a year.

After MITB went off air John addressed all of the fans with a heartfelt message. “I want you to know this isn’t a one-night thing, but it’s special because it’s the first night,” Cena said.
“As always, I want to thank all the WWE superstars for putting their lives and their bodies on the line to entertain all of you but most importantly…I missed you guys,” Cena said. “I really, really missed you guys.”
WWE Universal Championship match at Summer Slam: –
With his comeback at MITB, he has fallen into a rivalry with the current Universal Champion Roman Reigns. And this has led to him setting up the championship match against Roman at Summer Slam. This pay-per-view is scheduled to happen on the 21st of August. If Cena, wins the championship at Summer Slam, he will become the 17-time-champion and will break Ric Flair’s record of most championships.
