The football tournament association at the Summer Olympics 2020 is held from 21 July to 7 August 2021 in Japan. In addition to the Tokyo Olympic city, games are also being played in Kashima, Saitama, Sapporo, Rifu, and Yokohama.
Federation International de Football Association (FIFA)-affiliated organizations can send teams to participate in the tournament. There are no age restrictions for women’s teams, while men’s teams are limited to players under the age of 24 (born on or before January 1, 1997) and are not allowed for players over the age of three. The men’s tournament is only restricted to players under the age of 23, although following the annual postponement of the Olympics, FIFA decided to limit the number of players born on or before January 1, 1997.
