Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne’s contract with the Etihad is uncertain of extension and will be ending in summer 2025. According to Daily Mail, there are no talks over a new contract for the midfielder at the Etihad. But the Premier League side is eyeing towards getting a big offer from the ever-ambitious Saudi Pro League.
Man City is expecting a €100 million offer from the Saudi sides this summer for the 32-year-old world’s one of the best midfielders. Belgium has been recently back from injury and the Saudi clubs might approach the playmaker. The warm weather could help him extend his playing days given the recent injuries he’s been going through.
Kevin De Bruyne’s chances to move to Saudi Pro League are in talks
De Bruyne’s contract with the Etihad expires in 2025 and will have one year left before being free at the market. All the odds add that City could be parting ways with the 32-year-old. The journey in the Etihad started back in 2015 when he signed on a six-year contract. He made 366 appearances scoring 98 goals to date for City.
Kevin De Bruyne returned last month after a hamstring injury and has made nine appearances since then. He has contributed two goals and eight assists across all competitions. De Bruyne’s move to Saudi Arabia from England would mark the third high-profile transfer.
Pep Guardiola in his pre-match conference said, “I don’t know if he’s 100 percent but we took good decisions not to take a risk against Brentford. “I know if the result were not good people would ask why he didn’t play but we took a decision because he didn’t feel comfortable.”
Kevin De Bryune will be focussing on making the next few months as good as possible. The weather in the Middle East might favor his body conditions to extend his career further. A possible move to the Middle East will add glory to the Saudi Pro League as one of the best Midfielder is making a move there.
