According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the Paris Saint Germain defender is a choice for the Spanish Club since Carvajal in the back is aging and needs strong support at the back. He is also eager to return to the White House making chances for Real Madrid more evident.
Over the past five years, Hakimi has emerged as one of the best fullbacks around the world. Spending fifteen years with Madrid, he failed to establish himself in the first team, eventually leaving the side to join Inter Milan and then PSG back in 2021. Dani Carvajal’s presence had been a hindrance for him to make it into the playing 11 for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid might sign Hakimi this summer
Amid the transfer saga involving Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid, Real Madrid might be looking to sign Hakimi to make the deal easy. Hakimi shares a strong bond and is Mbappe’s one of the closest friends on and off the field. If the signing of Mbappe reaches a tension point at any moment, the club could use the signing of the 25-year-old to smooth things out for the Frenchman.
The 35-year-old had been a product of Real Madrid but had to leave the side for his career development. Following his time in Inter Milan, Hakimi played a crucial role in clinching the 2020-21 Serie A title. He then moved to PSG and further enhanced his values, now commanding a market value of €65 million.
Real Madrid’s interest in Achraf Hakimi is logical given the circumstances. Though the Merengues boast a formidable squad, Dani Carvajal, their most experienced right-back is surpassing 30 years. While Carvajal had a stellar campaign in 2023/24, his performance shows signs of decline over the past few seasons.
Hakimi has been tremendous with PSG since the season he joined. With 105 appearances and 13 goals, Hakimi stays as one of the most dependable defenders in the squad for PSG.
