    How was the injury sustained?

Bajrang sustained an injury in the right knee in a competition in Russia. This competition was a part of Bajrang’s run-up to the Tokyo Olympics. Further, the injury is supposed to be aggravated due to Bajrang continuing with the pull. During the Tokyo Olympics, Bajrang was seen contesting the injury. In his semifinal bout, which was eventually forfeited due to the injury Bajrang went off the mat limping.

“Since it was my first Olympics and I had a dream to win an Olympic medal, I competed through the pain in Tokyo. I had to do it.” Bajrang tweeted.

What about the rehabilitation of the injury?

Dr. Dinshaw has been working with all the renowned wrestlers!!

Bajrang as of now is consulting the best doctors in the country. After sustaining the injury, Bajrang went through the MRI scans to understand how extensive this pull is. As it was just before the Olympics, he consulted Dr. Dinshaw. Dr. Dinshaw is the current head of Sports injury management at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

“It’s a ligament tear and I have been asked to follow a six-week rehab program by Dr. Dinshaw. I won’t be able to compete at the World Championships.” Bajrang answered the PTI. Also, Bajrang, for the rehab isn’t consulting a physiotherapist but doing the rehab himself in Sonipat.

“I’m doing it here in Sonepat. The doctor has advised me a few exercises and I’m following a strict routine” Bajrang claimed to the PTI. Reports the TOI.
