The Women’s Premier League (WPL) Mega Auction is scheduled to take place on November 27, 2025, in New Delhi. This is going to be the first-ever mega auction in WPL history, so all franchises will be looking to rebuild their squad for the upcoming season. WPL 2026 is likely to be played in January-February 2026 before the T20 World Cup 2026 to avoid clashes.
This is going to be the 4th Edition of the Women’s Premier League and all five teams – Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, and Gujarat Giants. Most of the franchises have released their core players and are looking to rebuild a more balanced squad.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finalised Mumbai and Baroda as the two venues for the WPL. Earlier, Lucknow and Bengaluru were also considered, but later, the BCCI decided to shift the WPL 2026 to these two cities.
