World Cup Qualifier 2023: USA fast bowler Kyle Phillip has been suspended from bowling in international cricket Because of illegal bowling Action. After The USA’s Opening Game against West Indies in the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifier 2023. The match officials reported Kyle Phillip’s action to the ICC Event Panel on 18 June.

USA lost the match against West Indies by 39 runs, and Phillip bowled a decent spell, took three wickets, and gave 56 runs. He also played against Nepal but did not play the match against the Netherlands. USA’s Ali Khan has returned to the squad after a two-match suspension for breaching the ICC code of conduct.

After reviewing footage of Phillip’s action, the ICC event panel said that the action was illegal, and they suspended him as per Article 6.7 of the ICC’s regulations. Kyle Phillip will be suspended until he changes his Bowling action and get clearance from ICC.

USA Pacer Kyle Phillip has played five ODIs and took six wickets with an average of 40.83 and an economy rate of 6.04.
