World Cup 2023: England Announces Final Squad for ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, Harry Brook replaces Jason Roy: England Cricket Board (ECB) announced the Final Squad of England Men’s Cricket Team for the World Cup 2023. Harry Brooks replaced Jason Roy, whereas other players in the provisional squad retained their spots.

Jason Roy was injured as he was suffering from back spasms, which is why he couldn’t play in the ODI Series Against New Zealand this month. Roy has been the key opening batsman for England for the last few years.

After Having wonderful performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and The Hundred 2023, Youngster Harry Brook was named as the replacement for Jason Roy in the World Cup 2023.

The Team Management has shown faith in the brook despite being not so impressive in the International matches; he is known for aggressive cricket and can change the game’s momentum at any point of time.

David Malan retains his spot for the World Cup 2023 after having a sensational performance in the ODI series against New Zealand. Malan scored 277 runs in three ODIs and was also the Player of the series. He is expected to open for England in the marquee event.

England’s Test Captain Ben Stokes returned in his form before the World Cup as he played a Phenomenal inning of 182 runs in 124 balls with 15 fours and nine sixes. Stokes will be playing a crucial for England in this tournament.

Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, and David Willey will be leading the bowling department of England, and they are expected to do well, but it will be interesting to see how the Pacers perform over the spin-friendly wickets.
