The WPL is underway, and in the encounter between Gujarat Giants and MI, the Mumbai Indians middle-order batter Nat Sciver-Brunt smashed a match-winning 57-run innings.

With the stunning innings, Nat Sciver-Brunt not only won the match for Mumbai Indians but also achieved a unique feat in the IPL and became the 5th batter in the history of the Women’s Premier League to have reached the 5 half-centuries milestone. Nat Sciver-Brunt is currently starring in the third consecutive season of the WPL.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is also the second MI batter after Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur to have reached the milestone, with Hayley Matthews not far from achieving the same feat as well.

1. Meg Lanning

The Australian veteran, the greatest batter to have stepped up in the WPL, excelled in the two previous seasons for the Delhi Capitals. Lanning is also the most successful Aussie skipper, though she could not win the WPL title despite taking her side to two consecutive WPL finals.

Lanning scored 708 runs in WPL history in 20 appearances, with the highest score of 72 and has scored 6 half-centuries.

2. Ellyse Perry

Another Australian legend on the list, Perry has made a name for herself as arguably the best-ever all-rounder across all formats of the game. Perry starred for RCB since season 1, though most of the pile of her runs came for RCB in the second edition, when RCB won the title, as she played a major role in the iconic triumph.

Perry started off WPL 2025 with another match-winning half-century as her joint efforts alongside Richa Ghosh helped RCB chase the highest total in WPL ever. Perry as of now has 664 runs in 19 WPL innings with the highest score of 67* and reached 5 half-centuries as well in this season with the fifty in the WPL opener.

3. Shafali Verma

Delhi Capitals and Indian opening batsman Shefali Verma has been an inspirational talent in the early years of her career. Despite her tender age, she is a fearless striker of the cricket ball, as she has 604 runs in 20 innings with the highest score of 84 runs alongside 5 half-centuries.

4. Harmanpreet Kaur

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was considered the greatest T20 batter for India, also having scored the most runs in the format. Kaur, being a middle-order player for the Mumbai Indians, has had limited opportunities, despite which she gathered 595 runs in 19 innings for MI, with the highest score being 95*, just one hit away from the first WPL hundred. However, despite no hundred she has amassed 5 half-centuries under pressure situations.

5. Nat Sciver-Brunt

English all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt excelled in the opening game for MI, as she stood strong with an 80* and has been an equally convincing performer in the WPL. In 21 innings, she has amassed 641 runs, as 80 remains the highest individual score for the batter. Nat Sciver-Brunt has scored 5 half-centuries to enter the elite list, two of which came in the two matches she played this season so far. She is now also the fourth batter to cross 600+ runs in WPL and currently the third-highest run-getter alongside Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry.
