Adani Sportsline Private Limited has spent a whopping amount of 1,289 crores to buy this team. Former India captain Mithali Raj has been appointed as the mentor and advisor of the Gujarat Giants team.
Gujarat Giants will take on Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians in the opening match of WPL 2023 at the DY Patil Stadium on March 4. Australian cricketer Beth Mooney has been appointed as the captain of Gujarat Giants while Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana will be the vice-captain in WPL 2023.
