VVS Laxman will be seen in the role of India’s head coach for the white-ball tour to South Africa. Laxman played a similar role during the reign of Rahul Dravid as head coach. Laxman heads the NCA and steps up as the incumbent national coach.

Gautam Gambhir, the Indian coach will be seen with the Indian team for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The decision has been confirmed to Cricbuzz by the BCCI. The four-match series was arranged between BCCI and Cricket South Africa which was not initially planned.

With the likes of Abhishek Nayar, Ten Doeschate and the entire Indian coaching team visiting Australia during the phase, other coaches of the National Cricket Academy, like Subhadeep Ghosh, Sairaj Bahutule and Hrishikesh Kanitkar will also be part of the Indian coaching side under Laxman.

Currently, the trio of Bahutule, Kanitkar and Subhadeep Ghosh are seen in the role of head coach, batting and fielding coach for India’s campaign at the ACC Emerging Asia Cup.
