In the Indian Premier League (IPL), we have seen players often traded, released, or bought by new franchises. However, there are some cricketers who are still playing with the same franchise that they started their career in the IPL. Like Virat Kohli for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Sunil Narine for Kolkata Knight Riders, or Jasprit Bumrah for Mumbai Indians (MI).
There are lots of players who join the franchise, but very few have built strong bonds by playing their entire careers for only one team. These players have stayed true to their franchise through ups and downs, and now, they are the face of these franchises.
Virat Kohli – Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
If we talk about loyalty in the IPL, Virat Kohli tops the list. He has been a part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) since 2008 and represented the franchise in every season, giving his best to the team. He is the only player in IPL history to play all 18 seasons for just one franchise.
Sunil Narine – Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
Sunil Narine joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2012, and since then, he has been a part of the franchise. Over the years, he transformed from a mystery spinner to an all-rounder who is known for his aggressive batting.
He is still a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders and the second player after kohli who played for such a long period for a single franchise in the Indian Premier League.
Kieron Pollard – Mumbai Indians (MI)
Keiron Pollard joined the Mumbai Indians in 2010 and played until 2022. He has been a true asset for the franchise. Pollard played a very crucial role in winning 5 IPL titles for the Mumbai Indians. He is one of the best finishers in the Indian Premier League.
Jasprit Bumrah – Mumbai Indians (MI):
Another player who deserves a place in this list is Jasprit Bumrah, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians in 2013, and since then, he has been continuously playing exceptional cricket for the franchise. Bumrah has always been a vital asset for the Mumbai Indians, especially in the past few years.
Some Other Players:
Lasith Malinga (MI)
Sachin Tendulkar (MI)
