With this, the Indian Team occupies the top position in the latest T20 World Cup 2024 Points Table with 2 points. Skipper Rohit Sharma played a match-winning inning of 52 runs in 37 balls whereas All-Rounder Hardik Pandya took three wickets in this match.
A Comfortable victory for Team India in their first match of the tournament, they played a dominating cricket with both bat and ball. Indian Bowlers especially Pacers perfectly used the conditions and stunned the Irish batter with their pace and bowling skills. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh did a fantastic job for the Indian Team in the first inning.
Neither the Ireland batters nor bowlers haven’t played competitive cricket against Team India but the Irish bowlers did quite well as they kept bowling on good lengths which led them to lead fewer runs. Gareth Delany was the highest run-scorer from the Irish side in this match as he scored 26 runs in 14 balls.
No other batters from the Ireland side have scored more than 20+ runs in the match against India, more interestingly the conditions were quote similar to the Ireland but still, Irish players played poor cricket. Hopefully, Ireland’s team management will look at their weak areas and try to bounce back in the upcoming matches in the tournament.
