SLvsIND 2nd T20I: Sri Lanka vs India 2nd T20I Postponed after Krunal Pandya Tested Covid Positive.
SLvsIND 2nd T20I: The second T20I between India and Sri Lanka has been again hit by covid scare as Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya tested covid positive on Tuesday. Today’s T20I game has been postponed and will now be held on Wednesday.
Reports suggest that eight players of the Indian contingent that were in contact with Krunal Pandya are isolated and are regularly monitored. Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav are two of them.
If the two aforementioned cricketers also test covid positive, then their flight to the UK may get cancelled.
It is noteworthy that Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav were named in India’s Test squad for England after three members of the Indian contingent in England were ruled out due to injury concerns.

Shaw and Yadav are expected to leave for the UK after the completion of ongoing India vs Sri Lanka limited-overs series.
This is the second time when India’s tour to Sri Lanka has been halted by the covid virus. Earlier, the entire tour had to be rescheduled after Sri Lankan batting coach Grant Flower and a couple of other members of the host’s side tested covid positive.
As of now, the series is only postponed by just one day, but if the covid cases rise the entire tour may get midway cancelled.
India is currently leading the three-match T20I series by 1-0 after the triumph in the first match. Ace pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar rattled through the Sri Lankan middle order to wrap the match in 19th over.
