Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh: Sri Lanka has announced their strong squad for the upcoming T20I series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, with regular captain Wanindu Hasaranga facing a two-match ban for breaching International Cricket Board (ICC) regulations.

Due to this, in the absence of Hasaranga, Charith Asalanka will lead the team in the first two T20Is. In the recent match, Hasaranga collected three demerit points and a fine of 50 percent of his match fee after the T20 series against Afghanistan.

Additionally, opening batsman Pathum Nissanka, who was originally selected in the squad, will not tour Bangladesh due to an injury he sustained during the Afghanistan series and will be replaced by Avishka Fernando.
