SL vs ZIM 2024: Zimbabwe Announces Strong Squad against Sri Lanka for the T20I and ODI Series | Zimbabwe Tour of Sri Lanka 2024: Zimbabwe announced the squad for the white ball series against Sri Lanka, Craig Ervine returns to the squad and will be leading Zimbabwe in the ODI series. Sikandar Raza will be leading the T20I series as he is playing excellent cricket in International Cricket.

Tapiwa Mufudza made the maiden call in the ODI squad after performing exceptional cricket in domestic cricket. Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Milton Shumba, and Tony Munyonga were added to the ODI squad against Sri Lanka. All of them performed well in the T20I series against Ireland.

Brian Bennett, Ainsley Ndlovu, and Carl Mumba have replaced Takudzwanashe Kaitano, Tapiwa Mufudza, and Faraz Akram in the T20I series against Sri Lanka. Faraz Akram is included in the ODI squad whereas he is not in the T20I squad but previously, Faraz was in the T20I squad against Ireland. 

The ODI series between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka is scheduled for January 06, 2024, whereas the T20I series between both teams will start on January 14, 2024. All the Matches will be played at different venues and it will be exciting to watch how Zimbabwe will perform against Sri Lanka.

This T20I series will be very important for both teams, as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is expected to start in June and there are limited matches before the tournament. Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka will be playing with their main squad to check their bench strength.
