Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) entered the WPL 2026 Mega Auction to rebuild their squad and fix the gaps of last season. RCB wasn’t active in the WPL 2026 Mega Auction due to a low purse of Rs. 6.15 crore as compared to other teams, but they picked some of the quality players for the upcoming WPL 2026 season.

Strengths of RCB WPL 2026 Squad:
Strong and Experienced Top Order:
With Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry at the top, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has one of the most balanced opening pairs. Georgia Voll and Richa Ghosh add both stability and aggression in the middle overs.
Quality Overseas Pace Attack:
RCB heavily invested in English bowlers, especially after appointing Anya Shrubsole as the bowling coach. Lauran Bell and Linsey Smith are known for their pace and accuracy, and both make RCB’s pace attack much stronger than last season.
Weaknesses of RCB Ahead of WPL 2026:
Lack of Consistent Finishers:
However, RCB have Richa Ghosh and Grace Harris in the middle-order, and they are known for big hitting, but they still lack a consistent Indian finisher who can handle pressure in the tight games.
Too Much Dependence on Overseas Players:
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be heavily dependent on their foreign players; these players need to stay fit and maintain good form. Any injury to players like Perry, Harris, or Bell could impact the team’s balance and performance.
