Rahul Dravid is one of the biggest names that India have ever produced in the history of Indian cricket. He was a legendary batter who also led India to the highest level. Now, his son will be following the footstep of his father.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s U19 squad for the coming Australia tour, and it saw Karnataka’s 18-year-old star Samit Dravid getting his maiden call. He has been named in ODIs and four-day squads both.
Australia U19 will travel to India, where both teams will play three 50-over games and two four-day matches. Mohammad Amaan has been given the responsibility to lead the ODI squad, while Soham Patwardhan will lead the four-day side.

The tour will start with a three-match ODI series, and all three games will be played in Puducherry on September 21, 23, and 26, respectively. It will be followed by two four-day matches, and these games will be played in Chennai. on September 30 and October 7.
Rahul Dravid‘s Samit is a pace-bowling all-rounder, and he is currently playing in the ongoing KSCA Maharaja T20 Trophy 2024 for Mysore Warriors. Though his form has not been great, he has scored 82 runs in seven innings with a best of 33.
However, if we look at his previous form, he played an important role in Karnataka’s maiden win in the Cooch Behar Trophy. In 8 matches, he scored 362 runs, including a high score of 98 runs against Jammu and Kashmir. He also took 16 wickets with the ball, including a two-wicket haul against Mumbai in the final.
