Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka are going to have an action-packed calendar in November 2025. All three teams will be playing the T20I tri-series for the first time in Pakistan. The tri-series is scheduled from November 17 to November 29, 2025, and all the matches will be played at two venues in Pakistan.
This will be the second time that the Pakistan National Cricket Team and the Afghanistan Cricket Team will be participating together in the T20I Tri-Series. The Series has been arranged as preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is expected to be played in February-March next year.
Pakistan will be hosting the T20I tri-series for the first time at home, they have hosted One-day internationals but never T20I games. Pakistan National Cricket Team is in a transition phase to make a good comeback in the ICC Tournaments, and they are playing lots of T20I cricket in the sub-continent for the last few months.
Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka Tri-Series Overview:
The tri-series between all three teams will start from November 17 to November 29, it is going to be 13-day event in Pakistan. It will be played in a round-robin format, and every team will play twice against each other. After these matches, the top two teams in the points table will play the final to decide the winner of the series.

Why is this Series Important for Pakistan?
This tri-series will mark the first time Pakistan and Afghanistan will play against each other in a T20I match on Pakistani soil. Afghanistan has played in Pakistan but during ICC tournaments, and this will be the debut T20I between the nations.
Apart from this, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to be played in the first phase of the next year, probably in February-March. The tournament will be played in India and Sri Lanka; therefore, it will be good for all three teams to test their strengths and strategies before the big ICC event.
