PAK vs NZ 5th ODI: New Zealand won the last ODI match against Pakistan: New Zealand won the final One Day International (ODI) against Pakistan by 47 runs, Match winning performance came from Henry Shipley, who took three crucial wickets of Pakistan, whereas Will Young scored 87 runs to help their team to reach the target of 300 runs. Pakistan won the ODI series by 4-1.

In the first Inning, New Zealand came to bat, Will Young played a responsible inning of 87 runs, whereas Tom Latham continued his form and knocked another half-century off 57 runs, helping New Zealand to build a small partnership with Young and Mark Chapman to lead their team to a big total.

From the bowling Department, Shaheen Afridi bowled a fantastic spell and picked three wickets, and his partner Usama Mir and Shadab Khan both took two wickets for New Zealand. Pakistan’s bowling was well in the last overs and restricted Kiwi batters to a total of 299 runs.

In the second innings, Pakistan’s top-order batsmen failed this time to make an impact in the match, they lost their wicket at the early stage of the match, which helped New Zealand bowlers to dominate the game, but the middle order of Pakistan showed good resistance to Kiwi bowlers.

Iftikhar Ahmed who played a knock of 94 runs whereas Agha Salman played 57 runs innings and made a crucial partnership with Iftikhar, which resulted in defeat against Pakistan by 26 runs. Iftikar Ahmed played an inning of 94* runs and stood on one side, but on the other side, wickets fell regularly, which resulted in the first defeat of Pakistan in the ODI series.

The Pakistani Batsman suffered against the Kiwi Pace attack in the second Inning. They lost the wicket of Fakhar, Masood, Babar, and Rizwan in the early overs of the match. As a result, Pakistan would not be able to chase the target of 300 runs.

All-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed played 94* runs innings, helping their team to reach the total but failed to do so. Agha Salman played a fantastic innings of 57 runs, but it was not enough to reach a total of 300. 

Henry Shipley shone for New Zealand and helped their team to win the last match of the ODI series, he picked three crucial wickets for Pakistan and crumbled the top order of Pakistan’s batting. His partner Rachin Ravindra took three wickets and helped New Zealand to win the 5th and last match of the ODI series.
