
PAK vs NZ 2nd ODI Injury Update: New Zealand, is the most constant team over the years in the history of limited-overs cricket. Kiwis recently were semi-finalists in the last World Cup and also played in the finals of the Champions Trophy in 2025.
After the final loss in the Champions Trophy against New Zealand, under the newly appointed skipper Michael Bracewell, they dominated in the T20 series, eventually winning it with a 4-1 margin. While Bracewell, in the absence of Latham, is now also leading the Kiwis in the 50-over format and earned a comfortable victory in the first ODI match.
Blackcaps batter Mark Chapman scored a stunning hundred in the first game, as his 111-ball 132 runs scored also found him as the Player of the Match in the first ODI. He has been ruled out from the second ODI match to be played in Hamilton on the 2nd of April against Pakistan.
Chapman sustained an injury during the first ODI in Napier on the field, as undergoing subsequent MRI scans it was revealed that their was a major tear, which will recover some time for a short period in the rehab.
Chapman will turn to rehab in Auckland while he aims to be back in the third ODI which is scheduled at Bay Oval on the upcoming Saturday. Meanwhile Top order batsman Tim Seifert will be back to the New Zealand side playing in the second ODI, replacing Mark Chapman.

The Player of the series in the New Zealand vs Pakistan T20 match, Tim Seifert will be seen as a major replacement in the ODI side as well, since he replaces the injured Mark Chapman in the Blackcaps side.
Seifert who has immense T20I experience has appeared in only 3 ODI games with 33 runs scored over the 2 innings he has played. Tim Seifert in the recently concluded T20I series was the Player of the tournament with 249 runs scored at decent average of 62.25.
