NZ vs PAK 5th T20I 2024: Rachin Ravindra Replaces Daryl Mitchell for the 5th T20I Match in Christchurch: New Zealand and Pakistan will be playing the last T20I match of the five-match test series at Hagley Oval Cricket Ground in Christchurch. Currently, New Zealand is leading this T20I series against Pakistan by 4-0 and it is expected that they will white-wash this series by 5-0. New Zealand Young Batter Rachin Ravindra replaced Daryl Mitchell as New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has rested him due to the workload management. Rachin Ravindra was rested for the T20I series against Pakistan as he was consistently playing cricket and he was given rest for this series but now, he is expected to play the fifth T20I game against Pakistan in Christchurch.
Devon Conway was also not unavailable in the 5th T20I match as he tested Covid-19 positive before the 4th T20I game. Finn Allen is expected to open with Tim Seifert in the next match however, Rachin Ravindra is likely to bat at no.3 but Daryl Mitchell played exceptional cricket in the last match and was also the Player of the Match.
New Zealand defeated Pakistan in the 4th T20I match in Christchurch by 7 wickets and they dominated Pakistan since the start of the match. Pakistan bowlers performed poorly in the last match and this might be the reason Pakistan lost four consecutive games in this series, However, Pakistani batters also didn’t perform well but still they played better than the bowlers.
Kane Williamson is expected to play the last T20I game after getting rested for the 3rd and 4th T20I matches due to medical reasons. In the Absence of Kane Williamson, Mitchell Santner was leading the New Zealand Team but now, Williamson will lead the team in the 5th T20I match in Christchurch.
