T20 World Cup 2024: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Surprisingly, There is no place for Rinku Singh and KL Rahul in the Indian Team despite playing good cricket in recent times. However, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube find their spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
It was quite an expected squad for the Indian Team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 but it will be quite interesting to see who will be in the Playing XI. The Top-order of the Indian Team includes Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Virat Kohli, all these players are performing exceptionally in the TATA IPL 2024 especially Virat Kohli, who is the current leading run-scorer in the TATA IPL 2024.
Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian Team in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and more interestingly, he is in good form as Rohit is in the Top 10 most run-scorers in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, Team India has performed fantastically in International Cricket and it is expected that they will win the T20 World Cup 2024.
Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of Indian Team in the T20 World Cup 2024:
It is now official that Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which is scheduled to start on June 02. However, Rishabh Pant was also in the race for the vice-captain but the BCCI preferred Hardik over him in the upcoming ICC event. Hardik Pandya is struggling with his form in the TATA IPL 2024 which led the BCCI selector to add Shivam Dube to the squad as a back-up.
Why Rinku Singh wasn’t added to Team India’s Squad?
Rinku Singh has played exceptional c4ircket in the past year and he has checked all the boxes but due to the less slots, he has been added to the reserve players list. The primary reason is the addition of Shivam Dube in the 15-man squad as he will be the backup all-rounder in the team.
Shivam Dube played exceptional cricket in the TATA IPL 2024 whereas Hardik Pandya failed to perform well, which led BCCI to add back-up in the squad as the all-rounder’s role is very crucial in the team, especially in T20 Cricket.
