New Zealand vs Sri Lanka: Kane Williamson became the first player of New Zealand to Scored double centuries in test.: In the ongoing Test match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, the hard work of the Sri Lankan bowlers did not work in front of the New Zealand batsmen, they hit a lot of fours and sixes, in which the former captain of the Kiwi team had a lot of fun and scored double century. Kane Williamson became the first Black Caps player to reach a special Test landmark.

Kane Williamson scored a magnificent 215 runs on Day 2 of the second Test to become the first New Zealand player to reach 8000 Test runs. Williamson recently surpassed Ross Taylor’s record of 7683 runs to become New Zealand’s all-time leading scorer in Tests during the second Test against England in Wellington.

The former New Zealand captain’s double century was also his sixth in Test matches, putting him on par with several of the game’s greatest players, including Marvan Atapattu, Virender Sehwag, Ricky Ponting, Sachin Tendulkar, Javed Miandad and Younis Khan. Only Virat Kohli (7) has more double hundreds than the New Zealand talisman among players who are still in the game.

Although the weather ruined the first day, New Zealand immediately showed a strong desire to attack. Williamson and Henry Nicholls put on a clinic, smashing boundaries with ease and being oblivious to the pace and spin of the Sri Lankan bowlers.

In the first session of the day, the two scored 149 runs together, with Williamson reaching 8000 runs and scoring his 28th Test century in the span of four overs. With the Kiwi onslaught in full swing, Nicholls proved he wasn’t going to be left behind when he reached his century in the session following lunch.

Williamson reached his double century with a boundary in the very first over after tea, precisely as he had done to get his 50 and 100 earlier in the day. With Williamson’s scalping for 215, Prabath Jayasuriya put an end to the arduous 363-run partnership, putting an end to Sri Lanka’s anguish.
