Last year, this domestic league was started in June and it is expected that the MPL 2024 will start in June-July this year as well. The Winner of MPL 2023 was Ratnagiri Jets and it will be quite interesting to see whether they can defend the title or not.
Ratnagiri Jets won the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) 2023 despite the match being abandoned due to the rain. Ratnagiri won the trophy as they have more points than Kohlapur Tuskers in the MPL 2023 Team Rankings during the league stage.
Maharashtra Premier League was started in 2009 for the first time but after three seasons the league was discontinued and now again almost after a decade the league revived in 2023. Raigad Royals won in the first season of MPL in 2009. In 2010, Sinhagad Supremos came out as the winner of the second season whereas Devgiri Emperors took the title of third MPL season in 2011.

Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium will host all nineteen matches of the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) 2024 as they did in the last edition. However, We can expect some high-scoring matches at this venue but the Pacers will be very effective due to the red soil pitches.
MPL 2024 Format:
Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) 2024 will be played in the Twenty20 format where all six teams will be playing against each other in a round-robin format. The Top 4 teams will move to the knockout stage, which includes Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and Final.
