It was at this event that the host questioned him on who would he rate as the toughest ever opposition he has bowled to. To it Bumrah replied by saying there is no batter in the world who can get the better of him right now.
Though some said this sparked his over-reliance on his abilities, Bumrah clearly stated that his prime focus is to not let any batter enter his head, and that lets him perform to the best of his abilities against any world-class batter.
said Bumrah
“I want to give a good answer. The real factor is I don’t want anyone to take over me in my head. I respect everyone, but in my head I tell myself that if I do my job well that there is nobody in the world that can stop me. I look at myself rather than the opponent. I have control over everything and If I give myself the best opportunity, everything else will take care of itself,”
Jasprit Bumrah has been likely reported to be dropped for the Bangladesh series as well, as he might be looking to make a comeback in the New Zealand home series before India travels to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Bumrah was last awarded the Player of the tournament in the T20 World Cup.
