5) Mayank Markande in 2018 IPL Auction was Bought by Mumbai Indians:

Mayank Markande was certainly one beneficial buy for the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 IPL Auction. The leg spinner from Punjab made a marking impression in the first game of IPL 2018 itself by taking the wickets of MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu. Over the season Markande scalped 16 wickets and also played for the national team in 2019. He couldn’t capitalize on that 1 chance given to him and since then has been sidelined. But the young spinner did wonders for the team in 2018.

4) Marco Jansen in 2021 IPL Auction:

Marco Jansen has become the talk of the town after an amazing test series against India. A confident tall bowler who brings the ball into the right-hander is deadly. Scouted by Parthiv Patel in 2018, Marco was bought by the Mumbai Indians in 2021. They spent 20 Lakh Indian Rupees on the left-hander. Marco is a hit the deck bowler and gets swing too. He can give a team two good overs in the powerplay and 2 in the middle overs. Jansen is also known for his pinch-hitting abilities and can bat lower down the order.

3) Yuzvendra Chahal in 2011 IPL Auction:

Yuzvendra Chahal, a lesser-known prospect was also picked by the Mumbai Indians in 2011. Yuzvendra was scouted by John Wright from the grounds of Haryana. Yuzvendra’s father was the coach of the under-19 Haryana team. Yuzi too made his way into the squad-based on his amazing leg-spin. However, Yuzi did not get recognition in 2011. He had to wait till 2013 to win the Champions Trophy with Mumbai Indians. He has today become synonymous with Royal Challengers Bangalore but Mumbai was the team that bought him to the global platform.

2) Hardik Pandya in the 2015 IPL Auction was Bought by Mumbai Indians:

Hardik Pandya was playing night games in Baroda for 700 rupees in one night. Starting from there, Hardik has now got 15 Crore Indian Rupees for one season. John Wright scouted Hardik Pandya while having a look at the Syed Mushtaq Ali team probable for team Baroda. Hardik impressed John with his big-hitting abilities. He was timing the ball to perfection. John saw Hardik in 2014 and 2016 Hardik Pandya was playing for team India! Now that’s a success story.

Jasprit was playing in the Gujarat Syed Mushtaq Ali nets in 2013. John Wright, the scout of the Mumbai Indians chose him for his peculiar action and accurate Yorkers. Mumbai Indians bought Bumrah for 20 lakh Indian Rupees. From 2013 to 2022, Bumrah has become a cricketing legend. He is one of the most successful bowlers for India in the T20Is. Mumbai Indians have always backed Bumrah. In his first game for the Mumbai Indians, he picked the wickets of Karun Nair, Virat Kohli, and Mayank Agarwal.
